From Maplewood Mayor John Greavu at the Sept.18.city council meeting. Mottaz
received the plaques from the Minnesota Association of Civil Defense Directors for
his service to the organization and the city of Maplewood.He retired in August,after
directing the Maplewood Emergency Preparedness Department for 20 years.
