Anna Faith Jaskulka, 18, died May 21,just a few hours after her parents drove her home from the Landmark Center in St. Paul. The North
High School senior had been drinking, and her parents checked on her about 11 p.m. and found her unresponsive. When emergency
responders arrived, she was in cardiac arrest.
The Ramsey County medical examiner has ruled that Jaskulka's death was caused by the combination of alcohol and a prescription
medication.
Investigators believe the drug Jaskulka took was from her own prescription, but they still don't know where she got the alcohol.
"It's not likely either of the substances in itself would have been fatal," Maplewood Police Chief Paul Schnell said. "It's the
combination that made it fatal."
Investigation into Jaskulka's death continues.
