Beam Ave., had lost control of
his car the intersection of East
Shore Drive and Keller Parkway
in Maplewood, according to
Maplewood police who were
summoned by witnesses about
11:44 a.m.
With only five inches of the
car above water, Maplewood
Police Sgt. David Arnold dived
into the lake and managed to
free Blomquist from his seat
belt. Blomquist was taken to St.
Paul-Ramsey Medical Center af-
ter being revived.
