The anniversary year began with a new
acquisition,a Windsor-Gro.In January,
arrangements were completed for the
purchase of a greenhouse growing range
15 miles north of St. Paul to produce
geraniums,hanging baskets,vegetables
and other bedding plants. There will also
be a container shrub growing operation.
Windsor-Gro is a partnership formed by
five Windsor employees to supply Wind-
sor and other nurseries with quality
product. "One of my dreams," says
Hochradel,"was to have a business with
employee participation that would give
employees a chance to grow with it.
Windsor-Gro is that business."
Growing is what Windsor does best,in
More ways than one. From the beginning,
ten years ago, the company has ex-
perienced a steady growth from year to
year.Although residential landscaping is
the backbone of Windsor's operations,
more and more major organizations have
been coming to Windsor for large scale
landscaping projects.
In tile past few years, Windsor has

$200,000.In order to keep up with the press
of work,Windsor's work force expands to
more than fifty people during the peak
season.
To back up the landscaping operation
Windsor has, from the beginning,
maintained a fully stocked garden center
at 2800 White Bear Avenue.A complete
line of high quality lawn and garden care
products is maintained for landscaping
customers and for the do-it-yourself
gardener. There is also a complete range
of guaranteed plants for house and gar-
den.Anon premise greenhouse is used to
supply fresh annuals and vegetables.
In the ten years since Windsor was
established it has acquired the reputation
of providing the most complete stock of
nursery plants and supplies in the St.Paul
area.In that time it has earned a number
of national awards for landscaping. Its
advertising is nationally recognized.
