NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A CODE VARIANCE Notice is hereby given that the Maplewood Board of Adjustments and Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Thursday,October 13,1977 at 7:30 p.m.in the Council Chambers of the Maplewood Municipal Building, located at 1380 Frost Avenue,Maplewood,Minnesota. The purpose of said hearing is to receive all public remarks regarding a petition requesting a variance from the Maplewood Code. PETITION INITIATOR: James V. Palmisano 1915 Maryknoll Avenue Maplewood,Minnesota 55109 REQUEST: A variance from the required side yard setback as outlined in the Maplewood Municipal Code. CODE REQUIREMENT: Section 904.050 of the Maplewood Code states,"On a corner lot,the side yard on the street side of such corner lot shall have a width of not less than thirty feet." LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS: Lot 1, Block 2 Maryknoll MORE COMMONLY DESCRIBED AS: 1915 Maryknoll ANY PERSONS HAVING INTEREST IN THIS MATTER ARE INVITED TO ATTEND AND BE HEARD City of Maplewood,Minnesota (Review: Sept.28,1977) ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SODIUM CHLORIDE FOR THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD,MINNESOTA The City Council of Maplewood will receive sealed bids until 8:30 a.m.,C.D.S.T..on Tuesday,October 11, 1977,at the City Hall, 1380 Frost Avenue,Maplewood, Minnesota at which time and place the bids shall be opened,read aloud and considered.The bids are for the furnishing of the following materials: Approximately 500 tons of Sodium Chloride—M.H.D. Spec.3910 Proposal forms,including specifications,are on file and may be obtained at the Enginering Office. Proposals most be made on the forms as turnished and shall be submitted to the City Clerk on or before the time stated above. Proposals must be pieced in a sealed envelope with a statement thereon indicating proposal for bid contained within and addressed to the City of Maplewood,1380 Frost Avenue,Maplewood,Minnesota S5109. All bids must be accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Maplewood, in the amount of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars($250.00). The City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bid and make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the City. Proposals must be placed in a sealed envelope with the statement thereon Indicating proposal for Building Construction bid contained within and addressed to the City Clerk on or before the above stated time.Proposal is for the furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials and performing all work in connection with the above stated construction. The amount of deposit for one set of documents will be refunded to each prime bidder who returns the plans and documents in good condition within ten days after the opening of bids.The plan deposit for non-bidders or nonprime bidders will not be refunded, All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond,payable to the City of Maplewood,Minnesota, in an amount equal to five percent(51 of the total bid. Conditioned that if the bidder is the successful bidder he will enter into a contract in accordance with said bid and will furnish such performance bonds as are specified.No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty days after scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids,without the consent of the Owner.
