In other action, the Maplewood city council: —approved a lot division and variances (lot area and lot width) at 1897 Bir- mingham Street; —tabled the vacationing of Farrell Street,between Hawthorne Avenue and Maryland Avenue; —approved a lot division with 100 foot frontage at 2300 E.Larpenteur Ave.; —tabled the annual appointments for the Parks and Recreation Commission; —approved the revision of the com- prehensive sign plan for the 7-11 con- venience center at Larpenteur Avenue and McKnight Road; —accepted a petition signed by property owners for street improvement on Ferndale Avenue, Ivy Street and Hawthorne Avenue; improvement on Edgerton Street and County Road B; —approved final payment for drainage improvement for County Ditch number 17; —authorized the Maplewood fire marshall to attend the annual State Fire Department Association Conference; —approved the sale of surplus radio equipment; —approved a grant application for a police physical fitness program. The Council approved a resolution declaring April 28 through May as Maplewood Arbor Celebration'78.
