JOINING OTHER PROMINENT SMOKERS who have pledged to quit in conjunction
with D-Day, Jan. 19, are Maplewood mayor-elect John Greveau and his North St.
Paul counterpart Jack Whisler. Demonstrating that their community heart (and
lungs) are in the right place,the two mayors will kick the habit along with Warren
Lawson,M.D.,State Commissioner of Health,John Brown, M.D., President of the
American Cancer Society, Minnesota Division, Minneapolis Mayor Al Hofstede;
Tribune cartoonist Dick Guindon and even Miss North Star 1977 Stephanie Harstad.
Whisler and Greveau are members of the Maplewood-North St.Paul Cancer Society
Board.
