vacation.
The purpose of the vacation is to
enlarge Michael Lane Nature Center to
acquire land better suited to fencing.The
unanimous vote included a directive to
city staff to give the affected property
owners an option to deed back the ad-
ditional 30 feet they will acquire as a
result of the vacation.
Opposition to the vacation had been
raised earlier on the basis that the taxes
would be too high "for what we're get-
ting" according to one property owner.
