THE HEATED clash between
the two men ended in a standoff.
Meanwhile the issue of how the
road connections might be fi-
nanced was left for study by the
city staff.
City Manager Michael Miller
said that the projects could either
be assessed or picked upon the
city's general obligation budget.
There is some possibility that
state aids could also be used to
finance the road connections,the
city administrator reported.
Greavu said he would not aup-
port financing the projects
through general obligation."Ev-
erybody else has to pay their
portion,"he said.
Bobby D.Collier,director of
public works,told the council that
the possible area for assessment
would include Beam Avenue,
Frederick to White Bear Avenue,
and Lydia,Furness Court to White
Bear Avenue.
