Precinct 4: 130 for, 96 against Precinct 9: 104 for, 117 against Precinct 10: 46 for, 106 against Precinct 11: 105 for, 101 against Precinct 12: 42 for, 36 against The votes totaled 1,322 for and 1,132 against. The bond will be issued for bids,with a variety of other public improvement bonds Thursday,March 10.The total bond issue will be $3,730,000. ALSO ON FEB. 8, Maplewood voters rejected the city's proposed bond issue for $870,000 to acquire and develop its parks. The referendum was overwhelmingly defeated by a vote of 794 for and 1,655 against.
