The event is scheduled for May 13. This will be the first time 3M has held its annual meeting outside St. Paul since it moved its headquarters to the city in 1910,3M Spokeswoman Colleen Harris said. Shareholders learned of the change in venue via the Maplewood -based company's March 26 proxy statement. "Our Electronics and Energy Business Group is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and we are excited about having our Annual Meeting in Austin for the first time," CEO Inge Thulin said in a letter accompanying the proxy statement. The event will be broadcast live online. Harris said the company hasn't determined whether future shareholders meetings will be held in Minnesota or will continue to be held in Texas.
