Galilee Lutheran Church will be leasing the land from St. Paul Regional Water Services to install the temporary garden until the utility is in need of the property. The City of Maplewood's Engineering Department is requesting that the Maplewood City Council vacate a portion of a utility and drainage easement located at 2115 Lydia Avenue. During a recenttitle search of the property itwas determined thatthe existing single family house was constructed 5 feetwithin a 10 -foot -wide utility and drainage easement on the east side of the property. The Engineering Department has determined that there is no public need for the 5 -foot -wide portion of the easement that the single family house encroaches into. Therefore, in order to clear the title the Engineering Department is requesting that this portion of the easement be vacated.
