Snowshoe hike
For a winter wonderland adventure, head to the Maplewood Nature Center, 2659 E. Seventh St., from 10 a.m. to noon
Saturday, Feb. 13, for a snowshoe hike.
This event is best for children, ages 4 and up, accompanied by an adult. They will learn about snowshoes, strap on a pair,
and walk with a naturalist through the woods. Snowshoes will be provided.
Participants should wear sturdy winter boots and bring their own mug for hot cocoa. If snow is scarce, the group will hike to
search for animal tracks. The cost is $5 per person, prepay by Feb. 12.
