Maplewood Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Assaulting,
Impregnating Child

A Maplewood man will serve 12 years in prison for sexually
assaulting and impregnating a young girl at a northern Minnesota
casino, ABC affiliate WDAY-TV reports.
Twenty-seven-year-old Travion Allen pleaded guilty to first-
degree criminal sexual conduct back in December. On �`' i''%
Wednesday, WDAY-TV reports he was sentenced to 12 years in
fi
prison; he must also register as a predatory offender.
According to the criminal complaint, the crime happened in
August 2014 at the Palace Casino in Cass Lake, where the girl's
mother worked. The incident was reported in March 2015.

The girl, who was 12 years old at the time of the assault, told
police that she and her siblings were sleeping in a room when
Allen held her down by the arms and told her to "be quiet" so her siblings wouldn't awaken.
