SBA Communications, on behalf of Verizon, is proposing to build a telecommunications monopole at Harmony Learning Center located at 1961 County Road C East. This would be the second tower on this site. The applicant is requesting approval of conditional use permit. Public Hearing Information The Maplewood Planning Commission will review this request on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 7 p.m. or later in the Maplewood City Council Chambers located at 1830 County Road B East. All interested parties may present their views orally or in writing. Sign language interpreters are available. You must request this service at least 96 hours in advance. Sherman Associates is proposing to redevelop the former Maplewood Bowl site, located at 1955 English, with a mixture of residential and commercial land uses. The first phase would be a 50 -unit multi -family residential building. Phases two and three would consist of a senior housing building and a commercial retail building. To proceed, Sherman Associates needs city council approval of a conditional use permit for a four-story building, design plans and a preliminary plat. The proposed revision, in conjunction with State Statute, will permit persons to have direct or indirect interest in more than one on -sale intoxicating liquor license in the City. As indicated in Minn. Stats. § 340A.412, subd. 3. there will be no change in permitting persons to possess a direct or indirect interest in more than one off -sale license in the City. The Maplewood City Council will hold the public hearing for the first reading of the ordinance revision on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. or later. The City Council will hold this meeting at Maplewood City Hall, 1830 County Road B East in the Council Chambers. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, without the consent of the owner. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The city also reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities and deviations; however, any bid which contains a material variance from plans and specifications will be rejected. A material variance is one that gives a bidder a substantial benefit or advantage not enjoyed by other bidders.
