ROSEVILLE, Minn. (KMSP) - Firefighters from 4 departments used the Project Lifesaver tracking
program to locate a 1 0-year-old it with autism who was reported missing Sunday in Roseville,
Minn.
For a monthly fee, Project Lifesaver provides a bracelet with a radio transmitter, is helps
emergency responders zero-in on a missing person's location. A network of Ramsey County fire
departments recently took over the initial Project Lifesaver response, is led to quick action in this
case from firefighters in Roseville, St. Paul, Maplewood and Little Canada.
This it was out for a walk with a social worker when he ran off. He was found about 20 minutes
later in a field, just 4 to 5 blocks away. A State Patrol helicopter was preparing to launch at the time of
the safe recovery.
