Home My WebLink About2016 03-05 Sainted PIONEER PRESS 3/7/2016 St.Paul Pioneer Press Sainted Sainted: the Pioneer Press, for sending a poster of the article "Our State's History is Reflected Here" to Weaver Elementary in Maplewood. The article recognizes black pioneers whose lives have helped shape Minnesota. Thanks to Nick Woltman, Sarah Horner, Marcus R. Fuller, and Frederick Melo for researching the history of these extraordinary individuals (and to Barb Regal for sending it promptly). In recognition of Black History Month, the article was displayed in Weaver's lobby along with sketches of students' favorite pioneers, highlighting their achievements.
