� � � MAPLEWOOD,Minn.-The 31-year-old husband of a woman who was shot and killed Sunday morping is now
a suspect in her death,according to a release sent out Monday by the Maplewood Police Department.

" _� Maplewood,who was found dead in her home with a gunshot wound,according to a release.

:�"�I:: In that release,Maplewood Police Chief Paul Schnell calls Tennin a"risk to public safety."
KARE 11 does not typically name suspects until they are charged with a crime,however due to the risk to
public safety outlined by Maplewood Police,we have decided to in this case.

O�cers were called to the residence around 6 a.m.Sunday on the 1700 block of Woodland Lane on a report of
(Phofo:Hennepin County Shen//'s a shooting.April's three children,ages 12,15 and 16,were also at the home.One of the kids woke up a
o�rce� neighbor to ask for help,according to authorities.
"The kids did find their mother in this particular case and,ultimately,have spent the entire morning with investigators and other family members,"said
Schnell.
According to a release sent by Maplewood Police,Todd Larry Tennin,known as Larry,has a lengthy criminal history and allegedly left soon after the
shooting at the home.Police say he is considered a risk to public safety.He was initially called a"person of interesY'in April's death but on Monday,
police were calling him a suspect.
