CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota, was held in the Council
Chambers, Municipal Building and was called to order at 7:32 P.M. by Mayor Greavu.

Norman G. Anderson, Councilman Present
Roger F. Fontaine, Councilman Present
Earl L. Nelson, Councilman Absent
Donald J. Wiegert, Councilman Present
C. COUNCIL PRESENTATIONS
1. Beam Avenue Construction
a. Mayor Greavu stated this meeting was called for the purpose of obtaining certain
input and of answering questions from the residents of Beam Avenue effected by the
construction.
b. Mr. Don Bergh, 2123 Beam Avenue spoke and stated it was the general consensus
of the residents to ask the council to give consideration to stop signs on Frederick
and Beam and Furness and Beam.
c. The Council took no action, therefore, construction will begin on opening Beam
Avenue from White Bear Avenue east and the hill will be eliminated.
d. Councilman Anderson moved that stop signs be placed: Three (3) way stop on
Frederick Street and Beam Avenue; four (4) way on Furness Street and Beam Avenue.
Seconded by Councilman Fontaine. Ayes - all.
