A. CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Commission was held in the City Hall Council Chambers and was called to order
at 7:02 PM by Chairperson Danielson.

Item G1: Public Official Conduct and the Open Meeting Law was removed from the agenda.
Commissioner Deeny moved to approve the agenda as amended.

Commissioner Fortin moved to approve the June 10, 2014 HRC Minutes as submitted.

1. Human Rights in the News – Review/Update on Upcoming Forums/Reports on Forums or
Meetings Attended or Other Related HR Issues
Commissioner Deeny reported on the Civil Rights Act legislation passed in 1964.

2. Presentation on Integrative Youth Development Programming – Paul Schnell, Police Chief
(No Report)
Police Chief, Paul Schell spoke to the commission on the Youth Development Program
and Maplewood’s “Rule of Five”
F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Discussion of Future Goals for Upcoming Meetings
Commissioners discussed progress on established goals and topics, including the
community forum educating on the Integrative Youth Development Program.
