CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the Commission was held in the City Hall Council Chambers and was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Danielson. B. ROLL CALL Commissioners Nathan Danielson, Chairperson Present Jon Brandt, Commissioner Present Sarah Deeny, Commissioner Present Maurice Fortin, Commissioner Present Jeffrey Kringle, Commissioner Absent Julie Xiong, Commissioner Absent Staff Karen Guilfoile, City Clerk/Staff Liaison Present C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Commissioner Deeny moved to approve the agenda as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Fortin Ayes - All The motion passed D. APP ROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Approval of the February 11, 2014 HRC Meeting Minutes Commissioner Brandt moved to approve the February 11, 2014 HRC Minutes as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Deeny Ayes – Chairperson Danielson Abstain – Commissioner Fortin The motion passed E. NEW BUSINESS 1. Recap Discussion of Meeting with City Manager and City Council Liaison Chairperson Danielson gave a brief report on the meeting. HRC Packet Page Number 1 of 4 D1 D1 2. Discussion of Future Goals for the Human Rights Commission All of the Commission members gave their input of future goals. A more formal goal setting will be held at the April meeting. 3. Human Rights in the News - Review/Update on Upcoming Forums/Report on Forums or Meetings Attended or Other Related HR Issues (No Report) Commissioner Deeny gave an update on current Human Rights issues before the legislative session. Commissioner Brandt spoke of additional items. F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1. Update of 2014 Student Art Contest (No Report) a) Marketing b) Prizes c) Awards Ceremony Commissioner Deeny gave an update on the 2014 Student Art Contest. G. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS / STAFF PRESENTATIONS None H. VISITOR PRESENTATIONS None I.
