Monday, November 25, 2013 Council Chambers, City Hall A. CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the City Council was held in the City Hall Council Chambers and was called to order at 5:03 p.m. by Mayor Rossbach. B. ROLL CALL Will Rossbach, Mayor Present Robert Cardinal, Councilmember Present Rebecca Cave, Councilmember Absent Kathleen Juenemann, Councilmember Present Marvin Koppen, Councilmember Present C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilmember Juenemann moved to approve the agenda as submitted. Seconded by Councilmember Koppen Ayes – All The motion passed. D. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None E. NEW BUSINESS 1. Discussion on Possible Discontinuation of D.A.R.E. Program and Alternative Youth Prevention Programming Police Chief Schnell gave the staff report. City Manager Ahl gave additional information. Michael Rogers, Principle of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary School addressed the council to give support for the school and parents for the D.A.R.E. Program. Emily Shaffer, freshman at Hill Murray High School addressed the council to give support for the D.A.R.E. Program. Barb Mauer, fifth grade teacher at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary addressed the council to give support for the D.A.R.E. Program. 2. Discussion on Condemnation of Property City Engineer/Public Works Director Thompson gave the staff report. City Manager Ahl gave additional information and answered questions of the council. Discussion on Cable Commission Franchise with Kim Facile Kim Facile, Secretary of the Ramsey Washington Suburban Cable Commission and Director representing the City of Maplewood gave an update on the renewal of the Cable Commission Agreement and answered questions of the council. City Manager Ahl gave additional information. F. ADJOURNMENT Mayor Rossbach adjourned the meeting at 6:43 p.m.
