RULES OF CIVILITYFOR OUR COMMUNITY
Following are Borne rules of civility the City of Maplewood expects of everyone appearing at Council Meetings
- elected officials, staff and citizens. It is hoped that by following these simple rules, everyone's opinions can be heard
and understood in a reasonable manner. We appreciate the fact that when appearing at Council meetings, it is
understood that everyone will follow these principles: Show respect for each other, actively listen to one another; keep
emotions in check and use respectful language.

RE: Bid Award on Improvement Bonds
DATE: July 30, 2004
On June 14 the Council gave preliminary approval for the sale of the following
bonds:
1) Tax Abatement Bonds totaling $5,025,000 will finance the Legacy
Village and Hazelwood Redevelopment projects,
2) Capital Improvement Plan Bonds totaling $700,000 will finance part of
the costs for the Public Works Building Addition project,
3) State Aid Street Bonds totaling $5,355,000 will finance three projects.
Bonds need to be issued to finance construction costs that will be incurred prior
to receipt of state aid,
The bids on these bonds will be received on August 5.
The bid award is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at a special Council meeting on
Thursday, August 5. A recommendation regarding the bid award will be made at
the Council meeting by Terri Heaton of Springsted Incorporated. At that time,
resolutions will need to be adopted to award the bid on each bond issue.
