These appointments will b81V fill two three-year terms that expired nn December 31 and 1V fill 8 recent vacancy. There are two current commissioners who want the city council to reappoint them b3 the PC and there are four new applicants. The new persons interested iO serving OO the PC include Victor K8ikU|ich Leslie Patten, Valerie Taylor and Harland Hess. All four [f these applicants are also interested in serving On the oonnrnUnitv design review board /CDRB\. Please refer to the attached location map and applications. Eric Ah|ne3S submitted his resignation from the planning commission OD January 15.2000. AS noted above, both of the two existing commissioners (Gary Pearson and Michael Grover) have expressed 8 desire to continue tD serve on the PC. The city council will conduct the interviews Dn February 6. Community Design Review Board The city council needs to appoint three people Lo serve on the community design review board (COFlB). These appointments will beko fill two-year terms that expire January 1,2O08 and LO fill 8 recent vacancy. There are two current members who want the city council to reappoint them to the CDRB and there are six new applicants. There are two of the eight current planning commissioners with terms that expired on December 31. 2005. As such, the city council has three appointments to make to the planning commission. Community Design Review Board The CDRB ordinance specifies that the city council shall appoint five CDRB members as follows: two 8rChit8Ct3, if available; two nnenobena shall be from o related design Or construction field, and at least two members shall b8 citizen laypersons.
