Re: Completion of 2006 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
At the Council /Manager Workshop at 5:00 p.m. on July 23, 2007, the Council will be
presented with the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ended
December 31, 2006. Also available at that time will be:
• The Report on Internal Control over Financial Reporting and on Compliance and
Other Matters Based on an Audit of Financial Statements Performed in
Accordance with Government Auditing Standards,
• The Report on Compliance with Minnesota Legal Compliance Audit Guide for
Local Government, and
• Letter from auditors to the Audit Committee i.e. Council.
Finance Department personnel are accumulating 10 year statistical data related to new
reporting requirements for this year. These new requirements have caused delays in
the finalizing of the report thus the Council will receive a draft copy with the packet and
a final copy at the Monday meeting.
David Mol and Andrew Hering of HLB Tautges Redpath, Ltd will be present to provide a
summary and answer questions.
